In 2004 I was asked to design 4 windows for the Mariachapel as part of the renovation of the St.Christopher Cathedral,Roermond. The Church was also being refurbished for contemporary needs. The Commission asked me to make a visual link between the window of great great grandfather Frans Nicolas and grandfather Joep Nicolas and so the proportions where made to be harmonious while making sure that all four windows formed one big art work.
Currently the Scramentschapel is being worked on and the first two windows are done, when all four windows are finished, it will be clear they are also designed as one big whole with a dynamic running across all four.
